Follow The World’s Most Prestigious Tennis Tournament On iPhone With The Official Wimbledon 2011 App

With the official Wimbledon app for iOS, you can now follow the tournament from anywhere (provided you have an internet connection) on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad!

“The Championships, Wimbledon” or simply “Wimbledon” is the world’s oldest tennis tournament which has been held near the All England Club in London for the past 134 years. It started in 1877 and is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments besides the Australian, US and French Open.

The tournament takes place every year starting in the last week of June and ending in the first two weeks of July.
This year, Wimbledon will run from 20th June to 3rd July and you can follow the tournament by getting the recently updated Wimbledon app for iOS.
From the app’s official page:
The All England Lawn Tennis Club presents the official iPhone app for Wimbledon. The Championships, 2011 run from 20th June to 3rd July. Follow all the action LIVE during the fortnight with the Wimbledon iPhone app.
Spectator Guide and further Championships updates coming within the week.
Key Features
Scores: LIVE scoring updates and completed match results during the fortnight.
News: All the latest news updates direct from The Championships.
Radio Wimbledon: Three channels of LIVE coverage from Radio Wimbledon including Centre Court and Court No. 1.
Schedule: The daily schedule of play.
Draws: The draw brackets for the 5 main events .
Video: Daily on demand video highlights.
Twitter: Follow all of your favorite players as they progress through the tournament.
Visitors Guide: Everything you need to know if you’re visiting Wimbledon.
The Wimbledon app isn’t a half-baked job either. Although I’m sure die-hard tennis fans will just watch the action live, there are plenty of other useful features which are especially useful if you’re on the move:
You’ve got live scoring updates to follow, Radio Wimbledon to listen to, a schedule to consult to see when your favorite players are playing as well as on demand video highlights for any matches you might have missed.

Our very own Editor-in-Chief Taimur Asad will be attending this year’s Wimbledon tournament. You can follow him on Twitter; he’s bound to tweet about his trip and upload loads of interesting photos I bet tennis fans would like to see. (pssst! While you’re at it, consider following me as well!)
The app is free and works on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad on iOS 4.0 or later. Grab it from the link below.

4 Beautiful Ubuntu Unity Themes [Complete With How-To Download And Install]

The world of Linux customization is a complicated and fragmented one. There’s so much variety, but also a lot of, frankly, suboptimal themes out there. No GNOME themes, no mac look-alikes: these are truly the greatest-looking and better-made Unity themes, at least in my humble opinion.

1. Orta – It’s a great-looking theme that mixes shades of gray with really bright colors. Professional would be the first world that would come to mind when talking about this theme, because that’s exactly what it is: nice lines, prominent window buttons and a gray color scheme. The window button placement on the left might turn a few off, but that’s a small price to pay for such a good-looking theme.

In order to install it, type the following into the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nikount/orta-desktop
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install orta-theme orta-emerald-decorators
Elementary Theme

2. Elementary – This theme is pretty popular among the Linux community, and for a good reason: it’s really nice-looking. Just like the one we mentioned before, this theme looks professional, except instead of shades of gray, we’re presented with a silver theme, with a silver-colored windows and a black menu bar (although there’s a silver option as well). As with the previous theme, the main drawback is probably the placement of the window buttons. It also doesn’t have the extensive icon set that can be found on other themes, but other than that, you can’t go wrong with this popular and great-looking theme.
In order to install it, type the following into the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementaryart/elementarydesktop
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elementary-icon-theme
Minty Freshness Linux theme
3. Minty Freshness – If all of these themes have too much of a gray color scheme, you’ll likely enjoy this one more. Minty Freshness has a silver look with a touch of green: green window button, green icons and many other elements scattered around the system, including context menus. A major problem I found with the theme was the fact it breaks Google Chrome’s title bar. While that has no impact on usability, you’re advised to disable system windows (by going into Wrench > Preferences > Personal Stuff and checking “Hide system title bar and use compact borders“).
In order to install it, please download this PPA and select Minty Freshness.
4. Equinox – If you’re looking for a theme with the window buttons placed on the right, this is probably the best choice for you. Aside from a great-looking and comprehensive icon pack, this theme has a great color scheme based on blacks and shades of dark gray. It comes in various flavors, including a darker one, but they all share the same icon pack, and essentially the same look.
In order to install it, type the following into the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tiheum/equinox
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-equinox faenza-icon-theme equinox-theme
Those are my four picks for the best Ubuntu themes. If you’re just getting started with customizing Linux, these four themes could be a great way to start. We’ll keep you posted if we find any other great-looking theme.

De las glorias deportivas
que campean por España
va el Madrid con su bandera
limpia y blanca que no empaña.

Club castizo y generoso,
todo nervio y corazón,
veteranos y noveles,
veteranos y noveles,
miran siempre tus laureles
con respeto y emoción.

¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
Noble y bélico adalid,
caballero del honor.
¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
A triunfar en buena lid,
defendiendo tu color

¡Hala Madrid!, Hala Madrid!, Hala Madrid!
Enemigo en la contienda,
cuando pierde da la mano
sin envidias ni rencores,
como bueno y fiel hermano.

Los domingos por la tarde,
caminando a Chamartín,
las mocitas madrileñas,
las mocitas madrileñas
van alegres y risueñas
porque hoy juega su Madrid

¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
Noble y bélico adalid,
caballero del honor.
¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
A triunfar en buena lid,
defendiendo tu color
¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!

Invalid Address Tap Continue to sign in...just poped up on my iphone this is the solution

this is probably another security feature apple just added I've surfed the web for a little bit and there u go..

I had this endless "invalid address" problem, and I wound up fixing it for me.  Here is what worked for me...

1. Remember that there are not actually three, not just two, places that your billing address and credit card information are edited in the Apple Store world. (1) The website http://store.apple.com... (2) the music store that you access from your copy of iTunes that runs on a computer... and (3) the Settings->Store configuration on your iPhone or Ipod touch (and I guess on your iPad)

2. For me, the problem was originally caused because I had actually gone and CHANGED my billing address over at location number 1 mentioned above, the apple store website, because I wanted them to bill an iPad purchase to a specific credit card. That wound up creating some kind of confusion somehow within those three systems.

3.  So, what worked to fix the problem for me:
  • I first closed out of all three of those locations that I mention above (web store, iTunes store, and ipod touch config screen.
  • Then, I went to the very first one I list above, the website of the apple store, and I totally reset my credit card and billing address back to a specific credit card I have (namely, the one that I used when I first ordered an iPod purchase that is in fact still waiting to be shipped.)
  • When I hit submit on that apple store website credit card screen, it nicely did a little online confirmation of my credit card/billing info.
  • Then, I went to the second location, the copy of iTunes on my computer and went to the iTunes Store entry for that, and clicked on my account (i.e. my email address that is up in the upper right corner.)  I saw that this screen nicely reflected the totally new address that I had just entered over on the apple store website. Then, I don't think I changed a thing here in the iTunes config screen, just clicked back out of it.
  • Last, I went to the third location, my iPod Touch, and I went to do the operation that had been causing the "Invalid Address" errors (in my case, updating some apps.)   This time, of course, it gave me the same error, because it needs me to "confirm" the changes that I just made elsewhere in apple's system.  So it brought up that same **** address screen.  This screen also happily showed the new info I had set elsewhere in apple's billing system. SO, I went and entered the three-digit security code from the credit card in its place on this screen, and hit Submit.   The ipod thought for a bit, and then...
  • Thank god, it actually started updating my darn apps!
